Most people cling to their self-reliance, their singular oneness-not being a part of the whole, as an expression of ego. The understanding of we are all a part of the total Creation comes at a cost to the egoic thinking in one's self and most of us have trouble giving up our individuality, our separateness, or self-reliance. For me, the main question is, what is that "substance"? If the ones who are in the wrong place are the ones concerned with only themselves, then it follows that the completed ones would be concerned with everyone and everything, all people and things, more specifically, the earth. I believe that "those within" is a reference to "The inner Ones" who protect this (sphere)... "Guidance is inconsistent with thought when the value of understanding is not adhered to." What is the "value of understanding"? I believe that it means that we do not value understanding and that we do not follow the understanding that we do have. If we don't understand and don't follow the lessons that we do understand then the guidance is pointless because it is based upon our having these basic understandings. The guidance, presumably from the Inner Ones of the earth, is of value or has meaning, only if we understand and follow what we understand. Who are the Inner Ones? Are these separate beings within the earth or are they understandings that dwell within ourselves? "The selfish guidance in one's own interest can not attain the higher level.
